Security Officer – Senior Living Community (Cutler Bay Area)

Security Management Innovation (SMI) is seeking a professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at a senior apartment living community in the Cutler Bay area. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are attentive, customer-service driven, and comfortable working overnight shifts in a residential setting.

Position Details:

Location: Cutler Bay, FL.
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
Schedule: 12-hour shifts.
Pay Rate: $16.50/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor the property through routine patrols and surveillance systems.
Control access to the building and verify visitors.
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and resident concerns.
Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident logs.
Provide a visible and reassuring presence for residents.
Assist residents, staff, and guests with professionalism and courtesy.
Ensure all safety protocols and post orders are followed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Must be computer savvy (comfortable with reports, emails, and basic systems).
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight hours.
Professional demeanor and appearance.
Reliable and punctual.
Valid Florida Security D License (required).

Preferred Experience:

Prior experience in residential or senior living security.
Experience with access control systems and report writing.
Background in customer service or concierge-style roles.
