Security Officer – Senior Living Community (Cutler Bay Area)
Security Management Innovation (SMI) is seeking a professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at a senior apartment living community in the Cutler Bay area. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are attentive, customer-service driven, and comfortable working overnight shifts in a residential setting.
Position Details:
- Location: Cutler Bay, FL.
- Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts.
- Pay Rate: $16.50/hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the property through routine patrols and surveillance systems.
- Control access to the building and verify visitors.
- Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and resident concerns.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident logs.
- Provide a visible and reassuring presence for residents.
- Assist residents, staff, and guests with professionalism and courtesy.
- Ensure all safety protocols and post orders are followed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be computer savvy (comfortable with reports, emails, and basic systems).
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight hours.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Valid Florida Security D License (required).
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in residential or senior living security.
- Experience with access control systems and report writing.
- Background in customer service or concierge-style roles.
