SECURITY OFFICER – GATE / ROVER

SMI Security Management Innovations is seeking a professional Security Officer to join our team at a residential apartment community in the Miami area.

Position Details:

Position: Security Officer – Gate / Rover.
Schedule: Monday – Wednesday.
Hours: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour.
Location: Miami, Florida area.
Position Type: Residential Security.

Primary Responsibilities:

The selected Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a professional security presence throughout the property and assisting with the overall safety and security of residents, guests, and the community.

Key responsibilities include:

Monitor the property and assigned areas as a gate/rover officer.
Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
Monitor and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, and unusual incidents.
Complete accurate and timely hourly activity reports documenting observations and security-related activities.
Conduct routine patrols of designated areas as assigned.
Monitor access points and report unauthorized or unusual activity.
Respond professionally to resident and guest concerns within the scope of the security officer's responsibilities.
Immediately report significant incidents or emergencies to the appropriate supervisor and/or emergency services when necessary.
Maintain professional communication with residents, guests, management, and SMI supervisors.
Follow all SMI policies, post orders, client requirements, and applicable security procedures.

Candidate Requirements:

Valid Florida Class D Security License.
Reliable transportation to and from the assigned location.
Ability to work the scheduled overnight hours.
Professional appearance and strong customer-service skills.
Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout the shift.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to accurately complete reports and document incidents.
Prior residential, apartment, gatehouse, or rover security experience is preferred.
