Job Title: Gatehouse Security Officer

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Position Overview:

SMI Security is currently seeking a professional and experienced Gatehouse Security Officer for a high-traffic residential/commercial property located in Highland Beach, FL (33487). This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing a busy gatehouse environment while maintaining a secure and welcoming presence.

The ideal candidate will have prior gatehouse experience and the ability to handle a high volume of vehicle and visitor traffic efficiently while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and control access at the gatehouse entry point.
Verify resident, visitor, and vendor credentials before granting access.
Maintain accurate guest logs and utilize access control systems.
Conduct vehicle inspections when required by site protocols.
Ensure all visitors and vendors follow property rules and procedures.
Write clear and detailed daily activity reports and incident reports.
Communicate effectively with residents, management, and team members.
Respond promptly to incidents and follow proper escalation procedures.
Maintain a visible, professional presence at all times.
Enforce all site-specific security policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Prior gatehouse security experience is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume traffic environment.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to remain alert and attentive during extended shifts.
Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
Reliable transportation required.
Must possess a valid Florida Security D License.
Must have a clean background.

Work Schedule:

Full-time and Part-time opportunities available.
Schedule details will be discussed during the interview.
Must have flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
