Position Overview:
SMI Security is currently seeking a professional and experienced Gatehouse Security Officer for a high-traffic residential/commercial property located in Highland Beach, FL (33487). This position requires individuals who are detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of managing a busy gatehouse environment while maintaining a secure and welcoming presence.
The ideal candidate will have prior gatehouse experience and the ability to handle a high volume of vehicle and visitor traffic efficiently while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access at the gatehouse entry point.
- Verify resident, visitor, and vendor credentials before granting access.
- Maintain accurate guest logs and utilize access control systems.
- Conduct vehicle inspections when required by site protocols.
- Ensure all visitors and vendors follow property rules and procedures.
- Write clear and detailed daily activity reports and incident reports.
- Communicate effectively with residents, management, and team members.
- Respond promptly to incidents and follow proper escalation procedures.
- Maintain a visible, professional presence at all times.
- Enforce all site-specific security policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Prior gatehouse security experience is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume traffic environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive during extended shifts.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Must possess a valid Florida Security D License.
- Must have a clean background.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time and Part-time opportunities available.
