SMI Security is a professional security services provider committed to delivering high-quality protection and customer service to residential and commercial properties. We are currently seeking a strong Site Supervisor to lead operations at a high-rise condominium in Miami.
Position Overview:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all daily security operations, managing a team of 7 officers, and ensuring a safe, secure, and professional environment for residents, guests, and staff. This role requires strong leadership, the ability to respond to emergencies, and a hands-on approach to staffing, training, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise, lead, and support a team of 7 security officers.
- Ensure all officers are on post, in proper uniform, and following site procedures.
- Conduct roll calls, shift briefings, and performance check-ins.
- Maintain accountability and discipline within the team.
- Foster a professional and customer-service-oriented work environment.
Scheduling & Coverage:
- Manage weekly schedules and ensure full shift coverage at all times.
- Handle last-minute callouts by arranging coverage or stepping in when necessary.
- Maintain communication with management regarding staffing needs and issues.
Security Operations:
- Oversee all security functions within the high-rise condominium.
- Monitor access control, visitor management, and vendor entry procedures.
- Conduct routine patrols and inspections of the property.
- Ensure all incidents, activities, and observations are properly documented.
- Enforce property rules, policies, and safety procedures.
Emergency Response:
- Serve as the primary point of contact during emergencies.
- Respond to incidents including fire alarms, medical situations, disturbances, and security threats.
- Coordinate with emergency responders (police, fire, EMS) when needed.
- Complete detailed incident reports and follow-up actions.
Training & Staff Development:
- Train new hires on site-specific procedures and company standards.
- Conduct on-the-job training and continuous coaching.
- Assist with interviewing and onboarding new employees.
- Develop team members to improve performance, professionalism, and retention.
Administrative Duties:
- Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with management and clients.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and client expectations.
- Monitor and improve overall site performance.
Requirements:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – Required.
- Previous experience as a Security Supervisor or in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively.
- Experience managing schedules and handling call-outs.
- Reliable transportation (required).
- Ability to work assigned schedule: Wednesday – Sunday, 3PM – 11PM
- Professional appearance and strong customer service skills .
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-rise residential or condominium security.
- Knowledge of access control systems and security technologies.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and training staff.
- Strong report writing and basic computer skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
