SMI Security Is Hiring: Security Patrol Officer.
Location: Honeywoods Community – Pembroke Pines, Florida.
Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour.
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Position Overview:
SMI Security is seeking an experienced, dependable, and professional Security Patrol Officer to join our team at the Honeywoods residential community in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

This position is ideal for a security professional with previous HOA or residential community experience who understands the importance of maintaining a safe environment while providing excellent customer service to residents, guests, and vendors.

The selected candidate will conduct vehicle patrols, monitor community activity, enforce established community rules, and respond to security-related concerns. We are looking for an individual who demonstrates sound judgment, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prepare accurate, professional security reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine vehicle patrols throughout the residential community.
  • Monitor community access points, common areas, and other designated locations.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and policy violations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident concerns, incidents, and emergencies.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible security presence.
  • Enforce community rules and regulations consistently and professionally.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed incident reports, daily activity reports, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain communication with management and follow all site-specific post orders and company procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid Florida Class D Security Officer License.
  • Valid Florida driver's license with zero points on driving record.
  • Previous HOA, gated-community, or residential security experience required.
  • Vehicle patrol experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clear, accurate, and professional reports.
  • Professional appearance, reliability, and sound decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow established security procedures.
  • Availability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

Compensation and Schedule:
  • Pay: $17.50 per hour.
  • Shift: Overnight, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.
  • Days: Tuesday through Saturday.
  • Work Environment: Residential HOA community.
