Security Management Innovation (SMI) is seeking professional, customer-service-oriented Security Officers for a new residential security contract beginning July 11, 2026, at Buckley Towers, a premier residential community located in North Miami Beach.

This position is ideal for security professionals who possess strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing exceptional resident and visitor experiences while maintaining a safe and secure environment.

About the Property:
Buckley Towers is a well-maintained 16-story residential community consisting of East and West Towers with 324 residential units. The property offers a combination of classic and modern architecture and is professionally managed by Florida Skyline Management. Residents enjoy spectacular views of Sunny Isles Beach, Aventura, Hollywood, and Fort Lauderdale.

Position Summary:
The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of residents, guests, vendors, and property assets through proactive security measures, access control procedures, foot patrols, CCTV monitoring, and incident documentation.

Compensation:
  • $16.00 per hour.
  • Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available.
  • Immediate interviews for qualified candidates.

Essential Job Functions:
Access Control:
  • Monitor resident and visitor entry points.
  • Verify guest access and visitor authorization.
  • Enforce community access policies and procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests.
Foot Patrol Operations:
  • Conduct routine patrols of common areas, parking facilities, and property grounds.
  • Identify and report safety hazards, suspicious activity, and security concerns.
  • Maintain a visible security presence throughout the property.
CCTV Monitoring:
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems.
  • Observe and report unusual activities.
  • Assist with investigations and incident review when necessary.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Complete detailed Daily Activity Reports (DARs).
  • Prepare accurate incident reports and written documentation.
  • Maintain logs and security records in accordance with company and client standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid Florida Security Officer Class D License.
  • Previous security experience preferred.
  • Strong report-writing skills.
  • Computer literacy and ability to learn security software platforms.
  • Experience monitoring CCTV systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Reliable transportation.
