SMI SECURITY IS HIRING – SECURITY OFFICER
Kendall / Cutler Bay Area

SMI Security is currently seeking a seasoned and professional Security Officer who resides in the Kendall or Cutler Bay area and enjoys working closely with people in a community-focused environment.

This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing excellent service while assisting senior citizens in a residential setting.

Position Overview:
The officer will be responsible for monitoring the property, assisting residents, responding to emergencies, and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of senior residents. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional during emergency situations.

Schedule:
40 Hours Per Week

Monday: 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
Thursday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
Friday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
Sunday: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and secure the property.
Conduct patrols and remain highly visible.
Assist senior residents as needed.
Respond quickly and professionally to emergencies.
Write detailed daily activity and incident reports.
Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management.
Maintain a professional and customer-service-oriented attitude.

Requirements:

Previous security experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be computer savvy.
Ability to write detailed and accurate reports.
Dependable and punctual.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Valid Florida Security D License preferred.
