Position : Traffic Control Specialist
Location: Port of Miami
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour
Job Summary:
The Traffic Control Specialist is responsible for managing vehicle and pedestrian flow, ensuring safety, and providing assistance to visitors and port personnel. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and control traffic in designated areas.
- Provide clear instructions and assistance to drivers and pedestrians.
- Maintain a safe and orderly flow of vehicles.
- Interact professionally with the public and port staff.
- Monitor surroundings and report any safety concerns or incidents.
Requirements:
- Must be bilingual (English and Spanish required).
- Ability to work outdoors for extended periods.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Valid Class “D” Security License.
- Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card.
- Reliable transportation.
