Security Officer – Gatehouse Position
Location: Tamarac, FL
Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday | 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay Rate: $15.00 per Hour
We are currently seeking an experienced and professional Security Officer to work at the gatehouse of a well-established 50+ residential community in Tamarac. This position is ideal for individuals who have prior gatehouse security experience and enjoy providing excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Control access to the community by monitoring all incoming and outgoing traffic.
- Verify resident and visitor information before granting entry.
- Maintain accurate visitor logs and reports.
- Operate gatehouse computer systems and access control software.
- Answer resident and visitor inquiries in a professional manner.
- Monitor security cameras and report any suspicious activity.
- Enforce community rules and security procedures.
- Communicate effectively with residents, management, and emergency personnel when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Previous gatehouse security experience is required.
- Must possess strong computer skills and be comfortable using security and access-control systems.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Valid Florida Security D License preferred.
