Position Overview:
SMI is currently seeking a professional, energetic, and highly customer service-oriented Courtesy Officer to join our team at a prestigious high-rise commercial building located in Brickell.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, creating positive experiences, and putting a smile on people’s faces every day. This position is ideal for an individual who takes pride in professionalism, hospitality, and providing exceptional service in a high-end commercial environment.
The Courtesy Officer will serve as a visible and welcoming presence within the building while assisting tenants, guests, visitors, and building management with daily operations and customer service needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Hospitality:
- Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and guests.
- Greet individuals entering the property in a professional and friendly manner.
- Create a welcoming and positive atmosphere throughout the building.
- Assist tenants and visitors with directions, questions, and general support.
- Build positive relationships with tenants and property staff.
Lobby & Property Presence:
- Maintain a strong and professional presence within the lobby and common areas.
- Monitor building activity and assist with maintaining a safe and organized environment.
- Observe and report unusual activity, concerns, or incidents to management.
- Support building operations and tenant requests when needed.
Access Control & Visitor Assistance:
- Assist with visitor check-in procedures and access monitoring.
- Ensure building policies and procedures are followed by guests and vendors.
- Provide assistance during deliveries, tenant events, and daily building activity.
Communication & Reporting:
- Communicate effectively with property management, tenants, and team members.
- Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation when required.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, or security-related observations promptly.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Florida Security D License.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
- Comfortable interacting with high-profile tenants and guests.
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, concierge, or security preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
